This page describes the current website and app. Public downloads and purchases are not open. Seller contact details and the final commercial privacy policy will be published before sales open.

When you visit this website

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Requests necessarily include information such as your IP address, requested URL, browser headers, and request time so Cloudflare can deliver and protect the website. Cloudflare may process request and security logs under its own policies.

This site's code adds no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, contact forms, accounts, or persistent browser storage. The interactive example uses invented folder names and sizes. It cannot scan or access your Mac.

When you scan with the app

WDMDSG reads filesystem metadata, including names, paths, sizes, dates, and access information, locally. It does not automatically upload your scan inventory or file contents. It does not include an advertising tracker or automatic crash-report uploader.

The app can keep scan results on disk to show historical results quickly. Those local records include file and folder metadata. A saved scan is labeled as historical and must be refreshed before cleanup. macOS permissions determine what the app can measure.

Optional AI explanations

AI is off unless you configure your own OpenAI API key and request an explanation. Before sending, the app shows the metadata for your review. Full paths, file contents, child names, filesystem identifiers, and timestamps are excluded. The selected item’s base name is excluded by default; you can choose to include it. Even a folder name can reveal sensitive information. The AI response is advice; it cannot perform cleanup or execute commands.

If you choose to save your API key, WDMDSG stores it in your local macOS Keychain. OpenAI processes the approved request under its API data policies and bills your account. The app requests no response storage, but this does not mean the provider has zero retention. Read OpenAI’s API data controls.

Purchases and license activation

When sales open, checkout will take place on Lemon Squeezy. Payment and order details are handled by that provider. Activating Pro sends the license key and activation information to Lemon Squeezy; it does not send your scan inventory. The app stores license information in the local Keychain and periodically revalidates it.

Diagnostics and support

Help → Export Diagnostic Summary saves a file where you choose. The summary omits file paths, names, file contents, and API keys. It contains application, system, and limited scan-health information. Nothing is automatically sent. macOS may separately create diagnostic reports according to your system settings.

Review anything you choose to send for support. The seller’s monitored support and privacy contacts are being established and will appear on the support page before release.
